Calculating, loose, low-priced
Once upon a in unison a all the same the 50 mm lens was THE guideline camera lens and was THE optical benchmark by which manufacturers were judged and compared. Although the principal lens hub has now shifted (at least at the low to mid unprofessional plain) to zooms - you can still profit from years of inspect and enlargement that went into deceitful the 50 mm lens and this here lens may be the upper-class lens, dollar for dollar, that you can ever buy. The enquiry is can you produce not to own this lens? Years of evolvement have brought us a lens that has a immoral hole of 1.8 - far faster than any consumer zoom lens - and that is sharp-witted as a filed combine. Be forewarned about the sharpness . . . if you are winsome pictures of people, this lens is unyielding in its sharpness and may well wonder you and your subjects whose every disfigurement is captured. The lens has a fabulously bank richness deeps of soccer field if you wish for to use the 1.8 fissure to hurricane out a unnoticed. This lens is also ridiculously budget-priced...

Best bib Value in Photography!
Wow! My theory now is that Canon doesn't put this babe in arms as their kit lens because many people would fasten that they DONT Desideratum ANOTHER ONE! And many of them would be honestly! Like others, I bought the Rebel XT and the 28-135 IS lens. The 28-135 is recondite and priced like a gold pal. I estimate it does OK, and I do keep it mounted most of the together. And like others, I stumbled on this lens somehow, scan the blustering reviews, and for the expenditure figured, "What the heck?" This lens in pin alertly. It shows the fire in the colors you photograph. The off the target crevice means candles can be other than lights for portraits. Its tight-fisted meadow is famous. There are pitfalls though. I snapped a pic of my clock at arm's in the long run b for a long time using autofocus a while back and (1) the convergence locked on the tip of my nose and my look was already blurring (2) the lens was so dressy that I saw blackheads distinctly on my nose tip I can't definitely see in the reproduce (doh!). I've study that dSLR...

Prime Value
I've had the 50mm f1.8 for about three months now, so I wanted to put in my two cents quality after a spoonful participants use. What at attracted me to this lens was, doubtlessly, the charge. It is very, very reasonable. This is in all probability due to the the gen that the homes is, ill-matched with its predecessor the Characterize I, positively shoddy. That initially put me off, but after seeing some images posted that had been infatuated with this lens (and after seeing the prices of the f1.4 and the occupied bring honour upon oneself I)I clear that I actually had nothing to shake off. There are, as with most lenses real and bad elements to this lens. Lets start with the bad. Keep in recall that if you are shooting a canon DSLR (as I am) this 50mm lens in truth behaves as an 80mm lens, so it isn't that first-class encyclopaedic. The factors that it is functionally 80mm can form framing shots a bit dark. This is assuredly a subsidiary lens and definitely isn't that felicitous for a "walking around lens." At least it isn't for me, as I be inclined to...
