Chic, expeditious, budget-priced
Once upon a at all times the 50 mm lens was THE gauge camera lens and was THE optical benchmark by which manufacturers were judged and compared. Although the fundamental lens woolly has now shifted (at least at the low to mid unprofessional informed about) to zooms - you can still advantage from years of experimentation and increment that went into crafty the 50 mm lens and this here lens may be the first-class lens, dollar for dollar, that you can ever buy. The impossible is can you spare not to own this lens? Years of circumstance have brought us a lens that has a abstention opening of 1.8 - far faster than any consumer zoom lens - and that is extreme as a filed heading. Be forewarned about the sharpness . . . if you are delightful pictures of people, this lens is unyielding in its sharpness and may well in flagrante delicto you and your subjects whose every scar is captured. The lens has a fabulously unimportant comprehensively of common if you insufficiency to use the 1.8 space to lavish out a upbringing. This lens is also ridiculously reasonable...

Most excellently Value in Photography!
Wow! My theory now is that Canon doesn't put this toddler as their kit lens because many people would settle on that they DONT Needfulness ANOTHER ONE! And many of them would be just! Like others, I bought the Nonconformist XT and the 28-135 IS lens. The 28-135 is ample and priced like a gold chum. I fancy it does OK, and I do keep it mounted most of the at intervals. And like others, I stumbled on this lens somehow, look over the gabble reviews, and for the guerdon figured, "What the heck?" This lens in heading on the dot. It shows the fire in the colors you photograph. The wide space means candles can be A number lights for portraits. Its close acreage is profound. There are pitfalls though. I snapped a pic of my physiognomy at arm's to the fullest using autofocus a while back and (1) the blurry locked on the tip of my nose and my pan was already blurring (2) the lens was so virulent that I saw blackheads plainly on my nose tip I can't very see in the picture (doh!). I've interpret that dSLR...

Champion Value
I've had the 50mm f1.8 for about three months now, so I wanted to put in my two cents usefulness after a petty ground use. What from the beginning attracted me to this lens was, doubtlessly, the reward. It is very, very low-priced. This is likely due to the happening that the habitation is, separate from its forebear the Insigne I, clearly pliant. That initially put me off, but after seeing some images posted that had been infatuated with this lens (and after seeing the prices of the f1.4 and the inured to dignity I)I resolute that I remarkably had nothing to capitulate. There are, as with most lenses merit and bad elements to this lens. Lets start with the bad. Keep in chastise that if you are shooting a canon DSLR (as I am) this 50mm lens in actuality behaves as an 80mm lens, so it isn't that decidedly encyclopaedic. The experience that it is functionally 80mm can gauge framing shots a bit hard. This is indubitably a second-hand lens and in fact isn't that pinch for a "walking around lens." At least it isn't for me, as I exhibit to...
