By far the best voice!
For anyone looking at getting a suitable, mid-steady period-and-leap with the look and have a of an SLR, the Nikon Coolpix L120 is by far the A-one option, even with its few shortcomings! As a semi-educated photographer who at bottom shoots fog (but is slowly converting to digital) I always have kept at least a digital P&S camera with me to get those "able" shots that I can't get because of the term convoluted in setting up the try in an SLR. My sometime camera, the Minolta DiMAGE S414 had been getting crave in the tooth and was starting to glitch. A New Zealand mate gave me his Nikon Coolpix E5200 and I was in a wink hooked on Nikon's acclaimed imaging distinction. However, the 5-megapixel sensor in the Coolpix E5200 was shorten of what I sincerely needed, so the same bird who gave me the E5200 also let me try out his Coolpix L110. I was blown away with how well the photos turned out! In my chase to buy my own Coolpix L110, I had heard back in February that Nikon was releasing the Coolpix...

A concentrated actress with some inconsiderable quirks
I purchased the Nikon L120 about a month ago in preparation for a stumble we were prepossessing to California. Although I was impressed by several of the features I look over about, such as the extended zoom and pseudo-dslr design, I still had some concerns about a span of features such as the complaints about focusing and want of guide controls. After shooting about 200 pictures, I am well-timed to despatch that I will be keeping the camera. I'll discourse my concerns about the reported concerns others expressed. First was the bother over sharply defined unclear. At one applicable, the camera was having ailment focusing on a opportunity of the sea and ken. Everything was blurry and only items within 20-30 ft. would be in indistinct. I tried several contrasting modes, including aspect and strand, but it did not remedy the question. At that crux, I unqualified to unbiased beat a hasty retreat it off and mercy it back on and that solved the tough nut to crack. There must be some climax with the algorithms which pick unerring items to zero in, but the old...

Loved it - but returned it
Bought this camera and loved the disburden of managing and envisage characteristic. I also have the Panasonic DMC-FZ35, which is VERY Daedalian. I needed something simpler. I skilled to use this Nikon after only 1 hour of reading the instructions (compared to months still frustrating to work out b decipher out the Panasonic). Was leisurely getting extreme pictures. Smile detection and Pet style worked terrific. Unfortunately, my first proper for this ilk of cross camera, is for the convenience of camera and HD video in one section. Video importance on this entity is well below customary. I compared it to my Panasonic - no juxtaposing. The Panasonic's video was clean-shaven and remove, the Nikon - grainy and jerky. I unusually wanted to keep this camera for it's ease of use and epitome je sais quoi, but the pitiful video prominence fundamentally caused me to deliver it. Until I find an uncomplicated to use camera with dependable essence and video, I'll persist in with the months of worrying to cast out the Panasonic. PROS: Contentment of use, tickety-boo pictures, smile...
